As most of you probably know, I spent 3 days visiting with the Walls in Philadelphia on my way to Libya. I had a great time there (related story to come) especially getting to know Li'l Bits and her unique little character.
When I first arrived in Philly, we had gone to MacDonalds (of course) and 'Bits had received a Little Mermaid toy in her happy meal which she played with during most of the time I was there. Liza was always playing around opening the pouches of my suitcase as well.
When I opened my suitcase upon arriving in Benghazi last night, I discovered a little stowaway!! YEP, from the first external compartment of my suitcase that I opened, out popped the Little Mermaid!! She had a long cold trip but she must surely be adventuresome!! I know she was playing with Li'l Bits just before we left for the airport! That little rascal!
I commented:
Liza has been asking for the mermaid toy since grandpa left, she knew it went with him. Just so grandpa knows she didn't really realize the severity of him leaving until we were almost home. As we pulled off the freeway the tears started and she cried and cried that Grandpa went on the airplane. Then she decided that she should go too. I told her that we are going on the airplane in 5 weeks. That helped a little, but I think that she thinks we are going where ever it is that Grandma and Grandpa Tiffany went. Then tonight as I tucked her into bed, she started to cry and said, mommy don't leave me, No go airport. *tears* Oh, grandpa go airport. Not go airport mommy. poor girl I feel sorry for her not understanding.
